Here's a thought...
During a glorious ten day Tuscan adventure in late 2019, while partaking in art, vineyards, and the Italian Riviera, a friend and I decided to make a day trip by train to Rome.
My main destination? The Trevi Fountain! Of course we ran all over the city, checking out the Colosseum, Vatican City, and many other sights... but since I was a little girl, I had always toyed with the romantic notion of throwing my 'Three Coins in the Fountain" after watching the 1954 film, and listening to ol' Frankie croon. :)
So... I did. According to legend, tossing one coin into the Trevi Fountain means you'll return to Rome, someday, tossing two coins means you'll return and fall in love, and tossing three coins means you'll return, find love, and marry.
Imagine that.
Well, I didn't find love IN Rome... but interestingly enough, a few days after returning home, I made a connection with THE MAN WHO LIVED ACROSS THE STREET. Someone I had NEVER talked to.
And.... he was Italian. ;)
Needless to say, we have been inseparable, ever since and married in 2021.
Join us on our adventures and who knows... maybe life will take us back to Rome. :)
